Low Back Pain & Sciatica (Lumbar Radiculopathy)
Chronic lower back pain frequently arises from facet joint degeneration, disc herniation, or spinal canal stenosis irritating the sciatic nerve. We isolate pain generators using fluoroscopic imaging.
Recommended Interventional Procedures:
Advanced Procedures. Minimally Invasive.
Guided under state-of-the-art ultrasound and fluoroscopic X-ray navigation for pinpoint accuracy and rapid patient recovery.
Radiofrequency Neurotomy (RF)
Targeted thermal interruption of sensory medial branch nerves providing 9–18 months of sustained relief from facet joint spine arthritis.
Learn About RF NeurotomyNeuromodulation (SCS & DRG)
Mild electrical impulses sent to spinal cords or dorsal root ganglion to replace persistent intractable pain signals before they reach the brain.

Why Specialist Pain Intervention?
Chronic pain is not simply an enduring symptom; it is a complex neurological disorder requiring multifaceted diagnosis and treatment.
Precision Diagnostic Mapping
We do not guess. Diagnostic branch blocks establish exactly which nerve fiber or structure is transmitting pain signals before definitive treatment.
Holistic Multidisciplinary Care
Collaborative alignment with physiotherapists, psychologists, and rehabilitation physicians to restore emotional well-being alongside physical health.
Minimally Invasive Protocols
Procedures performed as day-surgery under light sedation and local anaesthesia, enabling patients to return home comfortably the same afternoon.

Everything you need to know about seeing a pain specialist in Australia.
Yes. To claim a Medicare rebate for your specialist consultation, you will require a valid referral from your General Practitioner (valid for 12 months) or another medical specialist (valid for 3 months). You can still book before obtaining the referral, provided we receive it prior to your appointment day.
Initial specialist consultations receive a Medicare rebate. If an interventional hospital procedure is indicated (such as radiofrequency neurotomy, epidural injection, or spinal cord stimulation), private health insurance typically covers hospital day-stay and accommodation depending on your policy table. Our admin team provides an upfront, written financial quote.
Most interventions are performed in an accredited hospital day-theatre under local anaesthetic and light IV sedation administered by a qualified anaesthetist. Real-time X-ray (fluoroscopy) or high-resolution ultrasound ensures accurate needle placement while ensuring you remain relaxed and comfortable throughout.
Because our procedural techniques are minimally invasive, most patients return home within 1 to 2 hours post-procedure and resume gentle light desk duties or non-strenuous activity the following day. We provide individualized discharge and recovery instructions.
